This is a cave-loving species (as the name troglophila might suggest). We have bred quite a few of these isopods over the past year, but their breeding appears to be seasonal. Males can have bright orange/red coloration on their backs, while females tend to have subtler yellow and grey patterns. Both sexes are beautiful, and this is a great species to work with--provided that you don't let conditions get too damp. We leave our enclosure open to provide plenty of ventilation.
