Porcellio scaber are among the hardiest of all species, and the "snow" morph provides a nice contrast to the other "rough" isopods. They are widely tolerant of humidity levels, but do not like conditions that are completely dry. The snow morph is completely white, or whitish-yellow; there are no dots or blotches as seen in the "dalmatians," "spottergeist," and "koi." The only other coloration may appear as food moves through their esophagus, which runs along the underside of their backs. Give them different colors of food, and watch them change!
